About This Event

The second Australian Workshop on Quantum Light, Information, Matter and Electronics, held at Monash University’s Clayton campus in Melbourne. It brings leading Australian and international researchers together across four interrelated fields to foster collaboration and identify new opportunities, with organizers aiming for an interactive format that pairs talks with substantial time for offline discussion. Topics cover quantum light, including nanophotonics, optoelectronics, and quantum communications; quantum matter, including strongly interacting systems, topological materials, cold atomic gases and condensates; quantum information and quantum computing; quantum electronics and the application of quantum phenomena in electronic devices; and work at the interfaces between these areas, such as strongly coupled light-matter systems. Confirmed invited speakers include Victor Galitski (University of Maryland), Atac Imamoglu (ETH Zurich), Ian B. Spielman (NIST), Nir Navon (Yale), Yuto Ashida (University of Tokyo), and Jelena Klinovaja (University of Basel). Chaired by Michael Fuhrer of Monash University.
