About This Event

Building on the 2026 gathering, the Quantum San Diego Convening returns to UC San Diego to bring leaders from industry, academia, government, and national laboratories together to advance collaboration across California’s quantum ecosystem, within the broader context of U.S. quantum initiatives and the national priority of moving quantum technologies from research to deployment. The 2026 edition was jointly organized by the Qualcomm Institute at UC San Diego, HPE Quantum, and Quantum Machines with support from the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development under the Quantum California initiative, and convened roughly 200 invited participants for working sessions on technical bottlenecks, infrastructure requirements, and cross-sector alignment as quantum computing moves from scientific validation to engineering at scale. Additional details for 2027 are still to be announced.
