About This Event
CIP Safety was designed for local networks. What happens when a GuardLogix Safety Controller and remote I/O are separated by clustered firewalls, VRFs, and multiple L3 hops? Rockwell Automation, Cisco, and Vale tested this at Porto de Tubarão mining facility. This session presents lab results measuring RPI, Connection Reaction Time Limits, and UDP session behavior across firewall cluster failover — defining viable architectures, QoS strategies, and HA configurations that preserve SIF integrity.
