About This Event

The XXXIII Reunión Nacional de Ingeniería Geotécnica & XXIV Reunión Nacional de Profesores de Ingeniería Geotécnica (RNIG & RNPIG 2026) combines two national meetings, one for geotechnical engineering practitioners and one for professors who teach the discipline. Organized by the Sociedad Mexicana de Ingeniería Geotécnica A.C. (SMIG), the joint event runs from 25 to 28 November 2026 at Palacio Mundo Imperial in Acapulco, Mexico. Technical sessions focus on soil mechanics, foundations, slope stability, earthworks and the geotechnical challenges of infrastructure projects. Geotechnical and civil engineers, professors, and students are expected to attend.
