About This Event
Enjoy a dynamic and inspiring conversation at the School of the Arts Career Panel, where we spotlight the diverse paths a degree in the arts can lead. This one-hour moderated discussion will feature four accomplished SOTA alumni who have carved out meaningful careers in creative industries: Andrew Deerin '00 - video producer for chart-topping artists, as well as corporate and political campaigns (theatre major) Haley Chamberlain Nelson '02 - biologist, writer, host, producer of science/nature programming on TV/digital platforms. (biology major, theatre minor, member of concert choir) Harlem Farr '21 (hrlum) - songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist based in NYC (double-major in music and Spanish) Josh Padgett '98 - director of fine arts at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind (music major) Whether you're a current student, a proud alum or simply passionate about the arts, this event offers a unique opportunity to hear firsthand how education in the arts translates into real-world success. A Q&A session will follow, giving attendees the chance to engage directly with our panelists.
