About This Event

Qiskit Fall Fest 2026 at the University of Stuttgart is a three-day local edition of the worldwide Qiskit Fall Fest series, organized by students from the University of Stuttgart and Stuttgart Media University (HdM) with support from IBM Quantum and the School for Talents. It is aimed mainly at students, from beginners to those with some experience, and also welcomes industry participants and research groups. The first day, on Campus Vaihingen, offers introductory talks on quantum mechanics and Qiskit, talks by speakers from IBM Quantum and Fraunhofer IAO, and tours of quantum labs at the university’s 5th Institute of Physics. The second day has a keynote by David Faller (IBM Germany Research & Development), a panel with speakers from IBM, the QuantumBW office, the University of Stuttgart, and HQS Quantum Simulations, and a hackathon that includes an NMR spectroscopy simulation challenge set by HQS. The third day moves to the IBM Innovation Studio in Ehningen for a session with IBM’s Jan-Rainer Lahmann, the hackathon awards, and a tour of the IBM Quantum showroom. The program is still preliminary, and registration is through the event’s website.
