About This Event
OUR VOICES CARRY: An Evening of Poetry, Music, Storytelling & Spoken Word Our voices carry across generations. They carry history, culture, testimony, joy, rhythm, resistance, laughter, memory, and hope. In celebration of National First-Generation College Celebration Week, join Luckyday Residential College, Flagship First-Gen, and the University of Mississippi College of Liberal Arts African American Studies Program for Our Voices Carry, an evening dedicated to student creativity, self-expression, and community. Whether you sing, share poetry, tell stories, perform spoken word, or simply enjoy the talent of others, there's a place for you! It's Open Mic Night! Bring the song, bring the story, bring the spoken word—bring whatever your voice carries!
