Beginning October 13, join us at DataLab (Shields Library 362) every other Tuesday from 3-4pm for Data Science in Practice -- interdisciplinary talks featuring researchers from across the UC Davis community about how they’re using data, data science methods, and emerging technologies to tackle their work. The Fall 2026 schedule is: Nov 10 – Mike Oskin, Earth and Planetary Sciences. Together we’ll discover and learn from different perspectives on and approaches to data-driven research. This series features a mix of talks on active and recently completed projects from academia, government and industry in a friendly, collegial atmosphere. After the talks, stick around to network with colleagues new and old over light refreshments. This series is organized by DataLab staff and graduate student affiliates. All members of the UC Davis community (students, staff, faculty, alumni) are welcome to attend. We encourage you to attend in person! To attend remotely via Zoom, please register in advance.
