About This Event

Disruptions, shifting work patterns, evolving economic conditions, and other forces can make historical travel behavior assumptions less reliable. Transportation agencies and researchers need flexible approaches to collecting and interpreting data as these conditions continue to change. TRB will host a webinar on Wednesday, November 18, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that will explore how practitioners can assess travel data from traditional and emerging sources. Presenters will discuss how changing conditions affect both data quality and interpretation. They will share methodological approaches for evaluating limitations and adapting data collection and analysis strategies. Attendees will learn how these approaches can strengthen confidence in travel behavior analysis and support sound planning decisions. This webinar is sponsored by TRB’s Standing Technical Committee on Travel Data and Methods. The registration fee is $100. Purchase a webinar package for discounted pricing. Complimentary registration is available for employees of TRB sponsors, standing technical committee chairs, involved CRP panel members, media, congressional staff, and TRB or National Academies staff. Visit MyTRB.org for details. A recording will be sent to all registrants after the webinar.
