Generative AI can now produce realistic receipts, EOBs and Letters of Medical Necessity in seconds, and the usual warning signs are disappearing. Some of these documents are already being submitted to TPAs, usually by fraudsters who have taken over a participant’s account, and sometimes by participants themselves. In this session, Oded Shekel of Silver and Rachel Humbird, CEO of Peak One Administration, will show real examples and live-generated documents. They’ll share what one TPA has caught, what got through, and what it learned. They’ll be candid about the limits of both manual review and AI-based detection. They’ll also cover the account-level controls that reduce exposure no matter how convincing a document looks, and how to set clear expectations with employers and participants about who is responsible when fraud happens.
