About This Event

Among the events for architects in the US, the ACSA 115th Annual Meeting stands out as an academic and professional gathering that brings together educators, practitioners, researchers, and students for three days of hands-on research and teaching. The theme for 2027 is INSIDE AND OUTSIDE. Part of the conversation stays close to what architecture is at its core — the ideas, methods, and values that define the discipline on its own terms. Another part looks outward, toward the disciplines, technologies, and social forces architecture keeps borrowing from and reacting to. Both threads feed into a question ACSA keeps circling back to: where do the boundaries of architectural education and practice sit now, given how much climate, equity, technology, and civic responsibility are reshaping what architects and architecture schools actually do. The program takes several forms: Peer-reviewed paper and project presentations, Themed sessions, Plenary talks, Invited panels, Workshops, Local engagement activities in the Atlanta area.
